Year 3 & 4 Hungarian visitors

This week the children in Year 3 and 4 were treated to a group of special visitors, brought to St John’s by a former student who now studies in Hungary. They have come to England for five days to enhance their learning and understanding of the English language. They introduced the children of St John’s to creations made by Hungarian inventors. The children learnt about the Rubik’s Cube, Biros and computers made by Hungarian designers. They presented children with traditional Hungarian dishes like Fisherman’s stew that they eat at Christmas time. They also have a dish called Goulash which is a traditional stew and learnt some new Hungarian words for ‘Hello!’ and ‘No’. They finished their visit in a united photo of English and Hungarian students.
