Friday Round Up 21/10/16
Operation Christmas Child
Please check your child’s Book Bag for the Operation Christmas Child leaflet. I would really encourage you to make this a half term project as it clearly supports our school value of Caring. Don’t forget to add a toothbrush and toothpaste and you may wish to include a photograph or Christmas card. All shoeboxes should be sent into school no later than Friday November 11th please. Happy shopping.
Website
Please take a moment to look at our new website which has kindly been sponsored by the PTA. At our next Parents and Staff Coffee Morning, on the 4th November, I would like to spend some of the time reflecting on how you are finding the new site and what changes we can make to further improve it. I look forward to seeing you there.
Science Week
The children and staff have thoroughly enjoyed science week. From the excellent Habitat Hat Competition, through to the class investigations and forest walks it has been tremendous fun. Many thanks to Mrs Khachy for her excellent organisation and the PTA for sponsoring the week.
Finance Manager
We are now recruiting a new Finance Manager. This post is for 3 days a week, 39 weeks a year during term time. Please spread the word to anyone who may be interested. Pre application visits, for anybody not familiar with the school, are highly recommend. Details of the role and application form are on the website.
Winter Menu
You can find our new menu, which starts on the 31st October, on the school website. The cost of school meals for next half term is £85.10. Just to let you know that once our new Finance Manager has settled in one of their first jobs is to implement an electronic payment system for parents. So you might finally get to throw away your cheque books!
