Friday Round Up 11/11/16
Friday Round-Up 11th November 2016
Operation Christmas Child
Thank you for producing so many boxes this year. We will count them up when they are collected by the charity next week and I will let you know how many children, from around the world, will receive a Christmas present; thanks for your generosity.
Remembrance Services- Friday 11th November
Along with Loyola Prep School, Years 3,4,5 and 6 attended a formal Remembrance of thanks this morning in St John’s Church. This was a change of venue from the original plan due to space issues. Years 1 ,2 and Early Years attended an assembly this afternoon, again in our church, led by Sam Lockstone, our newly appointed church children’s worker. You can view pictures for the service by following this link;

Thank you for your help in supplying a poppy for your child to wear. They made a very late appearance in the Buckhurst Hill Parish this year.
Phonics Meeting for Year 1 Parents- Church Hall, Tuesday 15th November 2.30pm.
This meeting will cover the assessment that your child will undertake next year in Phonics, give you strategies to support them and answer any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you there.
Flu Vaccinations
Thank you for returning this paperwork. The vaccinations will take place in the Church Hall on 29th November. Unfortunately, Year 6 have a school trip on this day and details of the Catch-Up Clinic will be sent to Year 6 parents separately.

Next week you will receive a separate communication listing the dates and times of all the school and church Christmas events. Please note that next Friday 18th is Non-Uniform Day for any child who donates a full (not opened and in-date please) bottle of something nice to the Bazaar Bottle Tombola.
Thank you for your swift return of all the documentation for our Parent/Teacher meetings this week. We feel they have been very positive and productive meetings. Just to remind you that school photograph proofs need to be returned by next Friday 18thplease. The Travelling Book Fayre leaves us after the close of school on Monday. We receive 10% commission on every purchase to re-spend to books.
Congratulations to 5M on an excellent class assembly yesterday which launched our assembly season. In Parents Evening week too……. very brave! Apologies to the Mayan Civilisation for referring to them as the Malians in my thank you. There goes the job at the British Museum.
Have a good weekend.
