Dear Parents,

Bug Busting
On Thursday you should have received a Bug Busting letter and comb. I would encourage your support for this advice which could reduce the head lice problem in the Epping Forest Area. Many thanks for your help.
Theme Week
We normally hold a Theme Week before every half term. This year we are going to move the Spring term week into the Summer term as we have lots to celebrate with the opening of our new wing, The Diamond Jubilee and The Olympic Games. Further details to follow.
Governors Day
The 3^rd February is our annual Governors Day when many of our seventeen strong Board of Governors join in school life for the day. This includes lessons, assembly, a school lunch as well as coffee with the staff. I look forward to welcoming them on Friday.
Building Work
Just to inform you that work on our new all -weather surface sports field starts on 6^th February to the end of March. You should not notice any more disruption (thank goodness) than we are currently experiencing.
Reports
The Mid-Year report for Years 1 to 6 will be sent home on Thursday 9^th February 2012 and Parents Meetings to discuss your child’s progress are on the 28^th February and 1^st March. Information on these evening will be sent home to you after the half term holiday.
Parent Mail
Following on from my letter before the Christmas Holiday you should shortly be receiving information from Parent Mail. This company will be organising our electronic communication to parents which should start later this year.
Questionnaire
Thank you for completing our annual questionnaire. At the time of writing this letter I believe we are only waiting for three more forms before we have 100% response. An excellent achievement. I will send you a summary of the responses once they are complete.

Along with this letter you should also receive the Curriculum outline for your child’s Spring Term. Apologies for them being late….. my memory I’m afraid.
