Governors
School Governors
The Governors of the school are a representative group of 17 people who
are
appointed to be responsible for various aspects of the school. The areas
covered include overseeing the financial administration of the school,
curriculum issues, personnel and sites and buildings. Their work is
conducted through termly Full Governing Body meetings, as well as
meetings of
specific committees and occasional working parties.
The Governing Body is made up of 4 representatives from the Church
(Foundation governors), 2 from Essex County Council (LA Governors), 6
parents (Parent Governors), 3 teaching and non-teaching staff (Staff
Governors) and 2 from the community (Community Governors).

Committees
Each Governor joins at least one Committee which meets regularly and
reports
to the Governing Body. Each committee has Terms of Reference, which set
out
the responsibilities and the amount of decision-making authority they
hold.
In addition, individual Governors have responsibility for a particular
area.
